jealousy

Do you have Jealousy towards others ?

 Jealousy implies a Negative Emotion!

It generally refers to the thoughts or feelings of insecurity, fear, concern, and envy over relative lack of possessions, status or something of great personal value, particularly in reference to a comparator, a rival, or a competitor.

It consists of one or more emotions such as anger, resentment, inadequacy, helplessness or disgust.

It is a typical experience in human relationships, and it has been observed in infants as young as five months.

It can either be suspicious or reactive and it is often reinforced as a series of particularly strong emotions and constructed as a universal human experience.

Jealousy can be Normal or Abnormal.

We can see Normal Jealousy in day to day life such as :- Jealousy in Romance, among siblings, in workplace, in relationship, platonic jealousy (seen in friends when one fears losing a friend to other more interesting and friendly person) whereas Abnormal Jealousy is a baseless kind of a jealousy triggered by no possible reasons except psychological problems such as delusions, paranoia or schizophrenia, etc. Under some extreme cases of abnormal jealousy, a person is known to display immaturity and insecurity along with a controlling nature. Such people tend to assume that their family members, friends and partners are unfaithful to them.

How to control this negative feeling of JEALOUSY ?

This feeling can only be controlled with love and support of family and friends whereas in extreme cases of abnormal jealousy should be treated by psychologists with flower remedies like Bach Flower Remedy (BFR) and through practitioner counselling.
